I liked the PowerPoint and reference to resistance. We, clinicians, must recognize that resistance is often a hurdle to change despite the present distress. Being stuck is “kin” to mental rigidity which varies on a continuum of inflexibility. It can be such a paradox- being in distress, seeking help and relief, yet resisting. Unfortunately, a known discomfort can supersede unfamiliar change.
I look forward to seeing more of your great work!
Thanks, Keith!
Deb,
Your presentation was AWESOME. Thank you. I had to leave early the next morning to attend an Adolescent Mental Health Conference in Pittsburgh and had wanted to talk with you.
I’m wondering what you’re doing now – Private Practice? Also, could we schedule a Conversation to explore potential collaboration and cross referral? Let me know what is good for you.
Warmest regards and highest respect,
